In this study, the preparation and properties of new materials were investigated by combining the functional groups of EPDM and NBR rubbers. EPDM is well known for its excellent resistance to heat and ozone, whereas NBR exhibits strong resistance to oil and fuel. To develop a hybrid material with enhanced performance, these two rubbers were blended in different mixing ratios, and their physicochemical and mechanical properties were systematically evaluated to determine the optimal composition. The results demonstrated that the EPDM+NBR blends exhibit favorable mechanical characteristics, achieving a balanced combination of thermal stability, ozone resistance, and oil and fuel resistance. Overall, the study confirms that the developed material is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications where both environmental resistance and mechanical durability are required.
