    Abstract: Characterization of information technology organization features in industrial enterprises, its current situation and development trends in Azerbaijan are of great importance from a scientific point of view. Scientific and technical progress has had a very important impact not only on material production, but also on the socio-economic field as a whole. As a result, the economic aspects of the informatization process, especially the study of the phenomenon called information economy, came to the fore and became a real necessity. This is primarily due to the rapid penetra-tion of information technology as a new technological method in industry into all areas of our life, taking strength from the expanding flow of globalization. It also forms new economic relations as a modern economic system for economic development, contributes to the development of individual countries and the world economy as a whole. ITC is constantly improving and deve-loping as one of the leading areas of scientific research. Despite its young age, the scientific base of information technologies has expanded significantly, significant successes and achievements have been achieved in their practical field, and it has become a leading area of the national economy in a number of countries. In the Republic of Azerbaijan, information technologies, which are the basis of the information economy, have been declared a priority direction, and numerous state programs, strategies and important working documents have been adopted in this direction and are currently being implemented. The information and communication technologies (ICT) sector occupies an important place among the main goals of the "Azerbaijan - 2030 Development Concept", which encourages the establishment of a new innovative economy and envisages more than doubling the country's GDP, as well as the "Main directions of the Strategic Development Concept" of the National Economy The implementation of the Road Map for the main sectors has been started. Based on this, the study of scientific and experimental materials shows that in the conditions of modern challenges of globalization, integration processes and improvement of market relations, the individual comprehensive study of ICT development trends in industrial enterprises of Azerbaijan remains among poorly studied issues, and here, also, certain specific criteria ensuring sustainable development are determined. is an important condition for conducting relevant analyzes and assessments. Taking into account that a number of criteria, objective conditions and characteristics in the field of information economy have not yet been finally determined, conducting new analyzes and assessments that ensure sustainable development in the relevant field, including the science of turning the economic efficiency of high technologies and its component information technologies into an important resource for the modernization of the national economy is of great importance for research.
